These are a line of caterpillars on a tree branch that we saw inside the butterfly pavilion. They were all in a row from largest to smallest. I couldn't believe it.
I thought I took more pictures at the museum but I guess I was tired that day.

We hiked the Monrovia Canyon on one of the days that Sophie was here to visit us. It took us about an hour to walk the 3/4 mile bike to the water falls. Lots to see and do along the way.
Of course once Tanner found a walking sick, both Lola and Teo had to have a walking sick too. Lola pants were basically ruined with dirt stains. I couldn't get it all out in the wash.
Teo caught a butterfly by hand which he has done before. He did not want to let it go. But then he caught a grasshopper and carried that for a while until it also jumped away.
It was a lovely day. And after we went to Subway for lunch and then swimming at Julie's. Perfect ending to a hot hike.
So we get to Magic Mountain and park our car, and start getting all the children out and what do I discover . . . That Lola has decided tho take her shoes off (after I had already put them on her). She took them off in the house before she got in her carseat. So she had no shoes!!
Fine, I will just go buy her some shoes at one of the stores inside. But no, there were no shoes for a two year old, only for teenagers. So Lola spend the whole day at Magic Mountain WITHOUT any shoes. I done know how we did it. But it seemed to work out ok. I guess you don't have to have shoes in order to ride the rides.
Here are some pictures I took.
