Zimmer Museum

Today we went to the Zimmer Museum which is on Wilshire/San Vicente inside the Jewish Federation Center.  They had to screen my bags before I could go in.

We LOVE this museum.  I would say it is by far the best children's museum for kids 0-5.  Today we spent 3 nonstop hours there.  We are all definitely tired.  Here is a look at our day.

 We start at the airplane.
Both Teo and Lola are standing on the wing.

Lola decides she will be the pilot.

This is all Bee wants to do . . . climb up the stairs, climb down the stairs, climb up the stairs, climb down the stairs,
until forever.

More stairs

Teo is sitting at their magnet board.  You can put magnets together to make animals.

Teo has just discovered Hopscotch and loves it!

Ring around the rosie, pocket full of posie,
Ashes, Ashes, we all fall down!

Playing at the water table.

Here is the boat my kids can spend hours playing in.  It is surrounded by blue balls to swim in.  Teo spends his whole time jumping into the water and then climbing back into the boat to do it all again.

Get Ready, Set . . .

 JUMP!

Bee spends HER whole time swimming in the balls,
then throwing them outside onto the floor.
I spend MY whole time picking the balls up
and putting them back in the water.

As I continued to call LolaBee's name and tell her to "keep the balls inside the boat!" a woman came up to me and said, "My daughter's name is LolaBee too." "You have a daughter named LolaBee?" I said as if I heard her wrong."Yes. I heard you calling your daughter LolaBee and my daughter has the same name."
I still don't really believe her.  How can anyone else have the name, "LolaBee?" I didn't ask her the spelling, but that certainly has to be different!

I saw Kerry Lawerence today. I thought about telling her about your blog so she would have some fun things to do with your grandkids. I didn't, though. I regret it.

Nice post!

Sounds fun! We'll have to check it out sometime. Have you heard of pretend city in irvine? Kind ofnthe same idea, and I've heard it's really awesome!

The look on Lola's face is so intense. I just laugh. My favorite of Teo is the JUMP picture...He's filled with glee!

Me too! It's the perfect in-air shot. I love it!

Sometimes I've seen Lola give me a face I've seen on Haley when she was little. The "after hair cut" picture looks like Haley to me.
